Hoyoung Choi, DMD
Dr. Hoyoung Choi went to dental school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated in 2011. He completed his GPR residency in upstate New York in 2012, and he has a certificate from the California Implant Institute.

Dr. Choi’s goal in dentistry is to make every patient’s dental visit as relaxing, fearless and painless as possible. To achieve this goal, he always works hard to keep up with the latest and most effective techniques in the field. His dental philosophy is to always place the patient first; he cares about what they think and how they feel. He provides individual care for each patient, and it is very important to him that his patients understand everything and feel comfortable asking any questions they have. He treats patients of all ages and enjoys working with kids and the elderly, and his hope is everyone leaves his chair with a big smile.

Dr. Choi was born and raised in South Korea. After serving in the army, he came to the United States to study dentistry in 2002. He recently moved to Woodbridge from Chicago, and he is enjoying the weather down here! He has a little daughter, and he loves spending time with her and his family. He also likes playing tennis and watching movies.

He does have some free oral health advice for you: Having a hard time flossing? Soft picks or water picks are powerful additional tools to clean the food out from the spaces between teeth!

Trang Nguyen, DDS
Dr. Trang Nguyen received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. She previously received her bachelor’s degree as a double major in biology and classics from the University of Virginia. She is currently working towards a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. She is a proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Virginia Dental Association (VDA), Northern Virginia Dental Association (NVDA), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).

Dr. Nguyen’s goal is to listen to each patient’s needs and then deliver tangible results to restore health, function, and aesthetics at the highest level. She excels at caring for each patient’s wellbeing and tailoring a treatment plan that suits the person’s needs. Should you ever have a concern, she strongly encourages you to come to her and talk about the situation. It is essential that everyone feels secure in her care, and she does this by keeping open lines of communication with her patients.

Dr. Nguyen strongly believes in giving back to the community. She was fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel throughout the state of Virginia and provide care for those who faced difficulty finding dental care. She loved being able to educate and provide care to people in these communities and she continues to give back by volunteering at community clinics and Mission of Mercy projects.

In her free time, Dr. Nguyen loves to visit art galleries and museums and explore new restaurants in the DMV area with her friends and family.

Dr. Nguyen also has a quick dental health tip: drinking water after eating or drinking anything acidic can help balance the acidity in our mouth and prevent cavities from forming!
